A breastfeeding fussy baby is likely to be changed over to formula if the mother is thinking ‘just why is my baby fussy at night?’ She’s starting to wonder if her milk is causing the fussiness.
My suggestion would be this ‘It’s really not a good idea to change to using formula when you’re successfully breastfeeding. It wouldn’t cure the colic and baby needs the antibodies in your breast milk. Enjoy the fact you can successfully feed your baby yourself.’
Manufactured baby milk can’t be as good and won’t help. It won’t stop your colicky baby’s pains. I changed my baby to being bottle fed. She was only 6 weeks old and it wasn’t a good idea to make the change. Lots of new mothers make the same mistake.
While you’re feeding baby yourself it’s ideal for effecting a simple and quick cure for all the fussiness. So continue to breastfeed and make sure you learn what you need to do now.
If a baby with colic is having formula help is still available.
It just might not so quick. It could take a couple of days instead of just a few hours because of getting the quantity and frequency of the missing nutrient right.
I believe there is one cause and one effective cure. Hundreds of babies have been helped, all because the cause of their colic was the same and could be treated the same.
People write about Colic Causes and Cures but, from what I have learned I’d say this is not so.
Does it seem very likely that although hundreds of babies were all given the same missing nutrient and all were quickly cured, the next babies to be treated in the same way wouldn’t be cured?
Why do so many babies have colic? It seems the newborns are depleted of a nutrient or nutrients they need, hence all the pain and crying. Once that’s corrected colic ceases to be a problem.
The babies have no trouble being cured, it’s often their parents who have the trouble…simply by being asked to believe it can be so easy!
God’s plan included the ability to nourish babies while in the womb through the placenta and umbilical cord and then out of the womb with fresh, perfect temperature milk for the beginning of their lives, for as many months as we (or baby) wish.
The ultimate, perfect milk for newborns! Or it should have been, so what starts the problem?
